Visit Cabo Pulmo!

Cabo Pulmo is a small village in the State of Baja California Sur in Mexico. It's close to the tip of the peninsula of Baja California, on the Sea of Cortez side.

Cabo Pulmo is a rustic destination with bumpy and dusty dirt roads, in a natural environment. It's nothing like Cabo's fancy hotels, but the houses are clean and well maintained. Wild life is still present, especially birds, and the star gazing at night is spectacular. It's a quiet destination, mostly for outdoor enthusiasts looking for an "off the beaten path" place to enjoy.

There are approximately two hundred inhabitants in Cabo Pulmo, and mostly everyone works in the tourism sector. For several months, there are retired expats who come visit the village.

Cabo Pulmo is an off the grid community so we have solar power electricity. Also, water supply is limited so we have to care a lot for our fragile resources. There is cell telephone service via Telcel, which connects to most foreign phone companies. Internet via cell phones is available.

Cabo Pulmo has some nice restaurants such as La Palapa on the beach and el Caballero famous for local Mexican cuisine. At Caballero, you can buy some basic food supplies, so we recommend you buy most of your food in San José before coming to Cabo Pulmo. Soriana supermarket is the closest to the airport.

What to bring to Cabo Pulmo:

- Flashlight

- Biodegradable sunscreen

- Snorkeling equipment

- Sunglasses / rash guard and hat

- Sandals to walk in the sand

- Hiking shoes if you plan to walk the trails
